Our experience in the rally (Physics)

Science rally

Sack throwing: The first part of the rally consisted of choosing two of the team to throw sacks with the purpose of landing inside the figures. It was certainly not our best moment, as we didn't hit any of the attempts we had.

First question:After doing the first physical stage, we moved on to the exercises, where we were provided with a blackboard and in front of us there was a monitor with the questions. The first one was math, specifically inverse functions. Once again it was not our moment, because although we knew the answer, we were not fast enough and so we were not the first to hand over the board.

Twister: For this stage we had to choose a participant, there was a driver who indicated the movements that the participants had to perform. Our partner Yaretzi resisted a lot, and was one of the last to fall; however, thanks to a bad move she was eliminated.

Second question:Since there were several sciences involved in the rally, each question was from a different subject, the second one was physics. The question was: “What is the first let of thermodynamics?” Once again we knew the answer, but we were not fast enough.

Rope: This was the station we were most prepared for, however, we were blown away... we easily lasted 2 min. The game consisted of two teams each on one end of the rope, allowing us to keep pulling until we forcefully pulled all the players on the other team, causing everyone to cross the cone.

Conclusion: We believe that a rally is an excellent opportunity to encourage teamwork, research and critical thinking among students. It was an enriching experience that allowed us to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to practical and real situations. Although it was not what we expected, we believe that with a little more organization and more dynamic challenges, everything would have been different.
